I had my Botox shot today.
Hopefully, such will help my pounding, especially nighttime headaches.
My headache Doctor told me that the Epilepsy/Seizures, and the Migraines are two separate problems, which are and get set off by two separate things, and two separate areas of the brain.
I experienced a mild seizure one week ago tonight, Tuesday night, into Wednesday morning, which was my first seizure of any kind in a very long time. As anyone who has read my blog or knows my life knows, this has been a horrible year for my family and I. Everything from my father nearly passing away last May, to the passing of my Aunt in late January 2023, and many other terrible events inbetween.
Throughout all of that, while I've had many migraines, I have luckily not had one seizure.
I attribute such to my trying to watch my health by taking my medicine every day, and the two wonderful Doctors, Doctor K and Doctor, G, who have stabilized my Epilepsy condition.
Doctor K, my headache Doctor, told me on Tuesday that if I have any seizure of any kind, no matter how mild it might seem, that I must contact Doctor G, my General Neurologist for the seizures, immediately.
Aside from being very tired from an hour long wait to receive my shot, and about two hours traveling on a total of four subways round trip to and from Manhattan to Queens, as well as an upset stomach which was set off my a severe dizzy spell/migraine when I got home, I thankfully do not have a headache tonight for the first time in a long time.
Hopefully, the night time headaches which I have been experiencing will abate or will be greatly reduced.
I walked out of Doctor K's office on Tuesday, feeling hopeful.
Hopefully I will have cause to feel such going forward.
