Good morning, bloggy!
Thanks to Goodieluver, I've now become a fan of Repo! The Genetic Opera. O__O When he first told me about it, I read all about it on wikipedia and saw the trailers and the "Zydrate Anatomy" scene that he linked me, but the real clincher for me was last night. I saw this beautifully sad scene from the film where the main girl, Shilo and her dying father sing to each other. Good God, I cried like a baby for about 10 minutes. : Like a fawcet is more like it. XD So thank you, Goodieluver. You have now added yet another musical to my belt of fandoms. 😀
And speaking of musicals, Xena: Warrior Princess did two musical episodes during the 6 seasons of its existence. One of them is the fan favorite "The Bitter Suite", but there was also another one called "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire". One of my favorite songs from that ep was their version of the song "War" by Edwin Starr. I'm so in love with Lucy Lawless' voice. She did all the singing in both musical episodes. As for Renee O'Connor, she may be the most epic dancer on the planet, but singing is not her forte. So she had a sound-alike, Susan Wood, sing most of her parts. But she did sing all her lines in this particular song:

Dailymotion is sooooo much better than youtube in many ways. For one thing, it's not as anal when it comes to embeddable videos. The embedding to both videos of this scene on youtube was disabled. Fail...
Oops, did I get distracted again? O.O
Sorry, no more Xena. ^^;; But...it's so hard to abstain! 😱
KK, on to the Halloween video of the day. 😀
This one is the music video to the song "Halloween" by power metal band, Helloween. Symphonic, power, gothic, and progressive metal is the type of metal I can jam to all day long!

At the moment I'm going back in forth between reading poetry and typing around here, but I get distracted so easily that I might not finish my reading assignment before Special K's class.
Ciao for now!
Current Mood: distracted
