After Classy's brunch a bunch of us just hung out around the landing to her hotel room talking and having a little fun with people coming and going as they pleased. Bruce the Shark collecting on a few accounts and college football on TV was the background noise. The major topic of discussion was dinner and where to and who was going with whom. It must be noted that a person can come and go as they please at these gatherings depending on their taste buds and amount of cash they want to spend. Many of us opted to hit Max and Irma's for dinner while others went to The Crab Shack. As might have been already revealed both places were good and where ever any of our group went there was a good time. At the end of dinner we all shambled back to the hotel for Bella's party. Bella had arranged for three connecting rooms to hold us all and hold games and of course, Bella Court. Since I don't want to step on any rules concerning Bella and fall under her wrath I will adhere to NEST Rules about that evening. It was a good time, believe me! And I can safely say a few things about it without saying too much.
1) Every person there was kind and courtious
2) I heard Natural laughing hard so I think the girls may have dog packed him. I'm sure he went down like a warrior
3) Never get in a Greco-Roman or Sumo wrestling match with KrazieDog. Just don't do it!
4) Never get into any kind of wrestling match with RobAce! Natural found out the hard way.
5) LeeAllure is human and very approachable with a great big smile and sense of humor but never get into a tickle fight with her. Just sayin'.
6) BrightEyes is all bounce and grin, even when under duress but never ever let her defend you in court. I ain't kiddin'.
7) Pokey is always a gentleman no matter what time it is.
8) Classy is always classy....and one hell of a cook!
9) Bella is a force of nature to be sure.
10) Korastus wins the prize for being the bravest in letting himself get hypnotized. I would also let him share the endurance prize with Mondy.
The rest was a fast laughing blur and sitting here it is hard to remember all that happened since so much was going on at once. I think I hit the hay around 1am since I had to get home by noon Sunday. My kid told me she was in a school play and I didn't want to miss it. Before I left that morning I did manage to say goodbye to Classy and Natural who were staggering around the grounds after a few hours sleep. I missed say goodbye to the rest................which I should have done since when I got home I fell victim to the dreaded six year old's understanding of time. Yes, she had a play Sunday. Sunday at 2pm. The following week! I could have stayed in Columbus another day and had more time with these people who I deem to be as crazy as me. That is why I am so comfortable around them.
So......if the fates allow it I hope to return to Columbus next year and get things done right and complete. Thank you for letting me into your home and celebrating your birthday, Bella. I hope you enjoy the chocolates I gave you and the mini Bella's enjoy their Slacker teddy bear and their Natural teddy bear.
What a weekend!
