It's been such a wonderful day. Fifteen years ago, if you had said that someday my mom would be able to welcome my father into her home for Christmas dinner each year, I'd have said you were out of your mind. This year, she beat the shit out of him in wii boxing. They went through a hideous divorce when I was 13. I honestly forgot about all of my problems for the entire day. My mind was at ease. I realized that with my amazing and supportive friends and family in my life, I have everything I could ever want.
I listened to a powerful sermon last night at church. The pastor at my mom's church in SC is a simple man. But boy, can he deliver some preachin'! It was really moving, and toward the end of the service I rededicated my life to serving Christ. I felt as though a weight had been lifted.
I'm so excited about my roadtrip with my mom and brother on Sunday, and it's gonna be awesome to show them my first house. Even with 2.5 days of being in the office thrown in there, it's going to be a great week.
Miss Lee gave me an assignment before we parted ways with our families for Christmas. I absolutely love it when she gives me writing assignments. So late at night when the fam is asleep, I work on it (unless I've fallen asleep first!).
I'm off to work on my assignment, then going to sleep with my weens. Tomorrow I see my BFF Becca, and my other BFF and my nephew Coop! Good night, friends, and a very Merry CHRISTmas to all of you
