How can you sit there and tell me that you still want to be my friend and for me to get better when you aren't willing to compromise? I'm not just doing this for me! You need help, too. I'm trying to go the distance to make our friendship better, but all you can do is throw my efforts back at me.
If you want me to change for the better, you have to be able to do what a friend should do: help.
The only way things could be worse is if you can't step away from your problems and not work through them. In this case, I need your help for me to work through some of mine.
Are you afraid of what you may find out? Are you worried that something could happen? Things have to get worse before they get better.
But since you aren't willing to try, then why should I?
