Wow, what a weekend I have had. O__O
First of all, Friday evening was spent shopping in Wal-Mart. Totally killed my flat feet, too.
But the plus side is that I saw, like, 5 people I knew. 😀
For youth group on Saturday night, I got to play Bingo. ^_^ I won three times, too. xD They were giving out candy prizes and stuff. But dammit, the two lesbians on either side of me kept poking me, hitting me, and even coloring on my arms with the crayons. I'm not attracted to them, though. I just hope they aren't into me.
One of them I know for sure isn't, but as for the other... :/
But it was fun to watch them put my Xena and Gabrielle action figures into sex positions.
And one of my gay guy friends (Josh) brought his little bisexual Asian "daughter" with him and when the number 69 was called out for the Bingo game, she shouted "Yeah! 69!
: " and we all started cracking up. xD And then Josh said, "Daughter, I am ashamed of you!"
But the real highlight of my weekend was yesterday when I got to see my two friends Mary Kate and Ashley. 😀 And yes, those are their names. xD But yeah, I went to Ashley's baby shower for a brief period of time and it was odd seeing her pregnant since I hadn't seen her since November. She's a lot shorter than me, so it really shows up on her. The baby girl should be due on July 1st. But it does piss me off that a lot of girls I knew from school have arranged a separate baby shower for Ashley later in the month.
Meh...I'm glad I'm not going. It takes place at the house of this girl who apparently hates my guts and I have no idea why. 😕 I've known her ever since I was a baby and I even ate lunch with her back in high school. So yeah, I would be an unwanted guest anyway.
So then my friend Mary Kate picked me up and it was just a joy seeing her. I don't think I've talked to her in person in about...4 years.
We drove to Wal-Mart to pick up some tire shine for her roommates, drove to her apartment to drop it off, went to this really amazing mini-golf/laser tag/arcade center where we played a round of mini-golf, laser tag with just the two of us, and a crapload of arcade games (notably Guitar Hero, air hockey, and Mario Kart)...and finally we stopped by Barnes and Noble where I picked up a copy of "Watchmen" and "50 Years of Queer Cinema". Laser tag was a lot of fun since it was Mary Kate's first time and she was a bit nervous at first. But she really enjoyed herself...the pathetic thing is that she beat me at it. 🙁 I also really loved sitting down and just talking with her. She's the kind of girl who knows the dirt on just about everyone so she told me things that I didn't know about beforehand. xD I even told her I was gay and she barely bat an eye at it. LOL She also told me about people I didn't know were gay but had suspicions about for many years, so that was nice to know. Haha. We even went on the subject of sex. O.O She even implied that she has a fetish and so I responded, "Yeah, I have a kink, but I'm not gonna say what it is". 😛 And she didn't question it, but she did say "It's not feet, is it? 'Cause being into feet is very normal".
I was thinking to myself, "Wow...she got pretty close". LOL And one of the funniest things that happened that day is when we first got out of her car and went into this tiny building beside the mini-golf/laser tag/arcade place and the man inside said, "Awww, I bet they're looking for the Fun Center!!!" Me and my friend had a good laugh at those words when we walked out since the man had spoken to us as if we were 4 years old.
The Fun Center officially became our running joke throughout the day.
OH! And the mom, the brother, and I have been watching "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" on Netflix.
Holy shit is that ever a good show! 😱 Lots of blood, sex, and boobies!
: More importantly...Lucy Lawless' boobies. 😈 Damn, I've been wanting to know exactly what was under Xena's chest plate and I've seen it all now. xD And quite the beautiful breasts she has, too. O.O Although methinks she probably got a boob job for this show. C'mon, she's popped out 3 children. LOL So yeah, Lucy Lawless nekkid is the #1 reason for me to watch this show.
No seriously...every episode is just so tense and suspenseful. There are twists and turns all the frickin' time! As you watch it, you just think to yourself, "Damn...any one of these characters could die at any second and for any reason". So yeah, it really keeps ya on your toes. 🙂 And the violence is, dare I say, it...beautiful. xD I mean, yes it's bloody but it's also very artful and stylized. The blood spatters out in an unrealistic fashion, so it's not like the violence is cringe-worthy...but that's mostly the gladiator fights. There are some very disgusting and gorey points in the show that made me turn my eyes away. But yeah...good show. If you haven't seen it, do it now!
:
At the moment I'm downloading tons of shows that I plan on watching sometime in the near future when I can get around to them. They include "Noah's Arc", "Dante's Cove", "Sugar Rush", "South of Nowhere", "Skins", "Exes & Ohs", and "Rome". Most of them are LGBT-oriented with the exception of "Rome" which I've been wanting to see because I'm a sucker for classical antiquity.
Speaking of which, it looks like I'm gonna watch the last 3 episodes of "Spartacus" right now. Peace out.
I will conclude with ze Video du Jour, which is a very powerful music video by the openly gay Swedish singer, Sara Em. The song is about her rejection from the Christian church for being a lesbian. Good stuff.
