Except for yesterday I have walked every day for 15 minutes. The reason I didn't walk yesterday was because it was windier than hell outside and I prefer not to freeze my ass off.
The walking has been good for me. Not only am I getting my exercise, but it's sort of curbed my appetite. I tend to snack a lot, mainly because of boredom. Y'know where you think you're hungry, but you're not. Yet since I've started walking, I don't snack as often as before and when I do the snacks are smaller.
Also I've lost a pound during this past week, which is good. It would be nice if I continue to lose a pound a week, which is the healthiest way to do it. It always pisses me off when magazines praise a celebrity's rapid weight loss. Like OMG this actress lost 40 pounds in two months! Fuck you! One, that actress has a personal trainer and a nutritionist. Two, losing 40 pounds in two months is not fucking healthy. The healthiest weight loss is 1-2 pounds a week. So in two months that actress should have lost no more than 16 pounds.
Faster the weight loss, the higher your chances are of gaining it back because you didn't let your body get use to the weight loss. You have to slowly retrain your body, otherwise it won't work. Celebrities are lucky in the fact that they can easily hire someone to help keep them in shape. Normal people don't have the luxury of hiring a personal trainer to kick their ass into shape.
Ok, enough of that sidetrack rant. Lol. Anyway, although it's been hard, it definitely feels good to get that 15-minute walk in. Hopefully by next week I can bump it up to a 25-minute walk.
