Unnatural

It's completely unnatural how NEST has affected me this gathering round. It's nearly a week after. NEST BLUES GO AWAY.

Really though, it's strange how my "vanilla" friends don't feel as good to be around as my NEST friends. I wonder if I'm supposed to chalk it up to the high I'm on when I'm there, or if it's truly just that I get along better with everyone there than the people that aren't involved in the lifestyle.

Feeling this way is bullshit.

Holy crap, I remember when I watched this on TV! It is seriously painful to sit through. 😵 I agree that religion can sometimes be a good thing, but stuff like this makes me question if the good truly outweighs the bad...

I don't remember, are these people fundie Catholics or are they some other branch of Christianity? Because if they're Catholics, the pope should just excommunicate the fuck out of them to set an example! But of course, he is too busy excommunicating 12-year-old rape victims because they got pregnant and did an abortion. What does THAT tell us? I guess I'll just never "get" religion... =/

Seriously, I am anything but patriotic and very rarely proud of my country, but right now I'm getting this warm and fuzzy feeling from knowing that Sweden is one of, if not THE most non-religious country in the world with 85% of the population being atheist.

I saw this documentary and I don't think I blinked the whole time I watched it. I felt so sad for those kids and so scared at the same time. I wanted to call up my dad and thank him for letting me decide at 8 if I should stay in church or not. I left and never have regretted my decision.

I was raised Irish Catholic and went to Catholic school for four years, church twice a week, and then when we moved and I went to a public school, I went to catechism on saturdays and church on Sundays. Besides being totally boring, I have heard priests say that I couldn't be friends with anyone unless they were also Catholic and that I should try to convert these people.

When I was in 8th grade and going to make my confirmation, I decided against it. My mom didn't mind and I've studied different religions over the years. There are some I like better than others, but none I really believe in.

Though, like I said, for the most part, religion can be a good thing, depending on the denomination of course. The Church itself has its problems and there are things I disagree with there, but as a whole I don't think they're responsible for cult-like groups such as those running Jesus Camp.

Fucking god.

Sounds like a damn slaughterhouse.

I see no difference with these people than those dumb fools in Guyana.
