so I go out with my buddies to El Chico, this mexican restaurant about a mile from our house. I had already eaten tonight, but I decided that I would rather go out and hang out with my friends instead of just sit here at home with nothing to do.
Well, to be fair, the only thing that I could have done was take an online exam, which I got a 90 on. quick aside, any of you professors reading this blog right now, don't give online exams. not only are they easy, but it takes away from the study habits of your students, meaning they will probably care less about your class. case in point: I hate my damn class that I had to take an exam in tonight. I got a 90 on it. I probably could have done better, but fuck it, I don't respect the teacher or his class.
so instead of eating anything at the restaurant, I order a Suaverita, because there was a little sign on the table that said Rico Sueverita, so I had one. afterward I had a beer. my friends had finished eating by this time, and I had finished watching the Louisville game (they killed Arizona, by something like 40). so we go to leave and it turns out this tiny 10 oz beverage was $7.50! I don't necessarily understand why this drink was so much, or why any drink at a bar is that expensive. but I guess they got to make money somehow. and it's ridiculous.
I said to myself, "sure, I'll be able to save up some good money for NEST! as long as I don't eat out every night I should be fine!" too bad $7.50 is the going rate for mixed drinks. damn!
