My mother is not doing well.

A brief recap. Earlier this year my mother fell and factured her left femur. She is 88 years old with a lot of health problems, so surgery is really not an option, as she would also need a hip replacement. Her leg has healed to the point she can transfer between bed and her wheelchair with help, and get around the nursing home a bit, but spends most of her time in bed and seems to be fading.

My brother who lives here is going to Kansas City the first week in Novermber to visit, and I'm hoping to get a few days off so I can go with him. It might be the last time I see her, the way things are going.
