got a lot to say about eggs actually. which is kinda weird. but we'll start with The Spirit. did anyone else see it? I liked it, though most people I've talked to hated it. the only relevance here is that The Octopus makes a lot of "egg" jokes, and I also did today too since it was an egg relevant day.
today I woke up a little before noon and I made biscuits and eggs. I made a fried egg for the first time and I did a great job! it was good even though I ate it when it was cold. then I forgot to mix the eggs together first to make scrambled eggs but I ended up scrambling them together pretty well anyway. then we ate and I cleaned the kitchen and we had a relaxing day.
later on, we went over to her parents' place and we dyed eggs. typically, this is not very much fun for me, because dye is not a lot of fun to work with. it's slow and boring and they all end up looking alike. well today we broke that trend with watercolors and a neat wax crayon that allowed patterns to emerge after the dying happened. I had some good eggs. one of them looked like an eyeball, one of them had all of our names appear on it after the green dye had taken. one of them had a bunny drawn on, and one of them was a Union Jack. there were others that were really good, but the point is that I actually had fun dying them. so hooray for eggs. I made one that had a four leaf clover on one, there were a few flowers done, her brother did a very intricate football, and my girlfriend made a little chicken on one of them. we're a creative bunch.
I also ate one of the eggs that was cracked so technically I had three different servings of eggs today. that never really happens. hooray!
have a good holiday tomorrow everyone!
