so I'm watching Jeopardy! like I tend to do, and I decided that I would like to host a game show. I think I would do a good job hosting a tv show, so I think I am going to forgo my graduate school and go and become Alex Trebek's apprentice.
this sounds like a good idea to me. but even if this doesn't work out, then I can always just sit at home and watch Jeopardy! like usual. I grew up watching this show so I'm a big fan, but it is quite an awkward show if you think about it. yesterday was the first day that I saw someone miss a question by not answering in the form of a question. she lost $5000 because it was her daily double. sucks for her, but that just shows some of the quirks about this show. we laughed. and Alex had to put her down hard, with a very suave “ooh, correct but I have to dock you because you didn't answer in the form of a question” which he drew out to last about 30 seconds. see I could do that. I'd be good at it too. I'd say something like “hey, you're on Jeopardy, you ask the questions dumbass.” see! I'm a charmer.
I love Jeopardy! so I won't say anything else about it.
but I will say that I don't like watching the commercials during Jeopardy!, because the ad agancies know that lots of old people watch Jeopardy! so there are tons of ads for drugs and adult diapers and don't piss your pants medicine. I always feel a little awkward watching these so sometimes I just mute them and see a bunch of smiling old people.
Jeopardy! rocks. The Price is Right sucks.
