So, this weekend was a very interesting experience. Sapphire and I have been trying to get out of our previous residence for many months now, 90% simply because our roommate was a self-centered, disrespectful, irresponsible bitch. A good example of this is on Friday, as we were getting things together and packed up, she stood at the bottom of our stairs to the bedroom and asked if we could talk. I said No, because we're busy and getting ready to move, and if she wanted to talk she could do so from the bottom of the stairs since we could hear her just fine. She said, "Well, this is my house so I can do whatever the fuck I want" and came into our bedroom anyway. Mind you, it's NOT her house, it's provided to her from the company she works for, she just likes to be full or herself and go on powerr trips.
Well, needless to say, things got a little hot - she tried roping me into paying her money AFTER we moved out and I told her to fuck off. When she argued with me, I told her that this wasn't a discussion or a debate, and that she was dismissed. Long story cut thankfully short, she did go away but we decided not to wait til Saturday to move. This spurred us along to get everything done within 24 hours - and with fireguardian's assistance for which we are eternally grateful for, we moved the equivalent of a fully furnished two bedroom apartment from one building to another in LESS than 24 hours. We can't thank her enough for her help in getting things into and out of the moving truck and the new apartment. Also, she bought us a homewarming gifty that made us VERY excited! We love you!!!!
Also, yesterday afternoon, brideofdracula came over and the girls all went shopping. We nearly finished furnishing the apartment with various necessities, and big thanks go out to her and starwolffe for their assistance as well. 😀
Anyway, we're here now - the important stuff like the cable and internet works, and the couch is comfy and homey. The cats are warming up to the apartment much faster than was expected and now I (we) am (are) finally ON OUR FUCKING OWN. YES! WIN!
