Today , my building had a complete almost 11 hour water shutdown.
I had to get out of my apartment, and thus arranged to see a friend. When I got back, the water was still off. I had already been gone between travel time and visiting with my friend for six hours.
Then, after I got home, the water was off for another two and half hours.
Before finally being on at the end of Jim Gardner's newscast at 630.
As bad as the almost 11 hour water shut down was, it still proved to be "Less" than they originally said as they had told us it would be a 9 am to 9 pm shut down.
Its on now, but the hot water does not appear to be workiing.
Several years ago, they hit us with another 12 hour shut down from a Sunday night to a Monday morning
The difference with that situation was that the shut down was overnight, and even though I usually never sleep well due to insomnia, I was able to sleep during part of that.
Hopefully, this is the last of the water shut downs.
They happen far too frequently here.
