As those who know me are aware, and read my signature can see, my favorite newscaster was Jim Gardner from WPVI in Philadelphia.
I started watching him in the early 2000s,. and watched him almost every night on TV from the time I found him, until I moved from Lancaster to NY in 2012
Just before I moved to NY, Jeff found me the link to the WPVI website, so I continued watching Gardner almost every night, on the computer, and on my phone.
Gardner got me through so many life's dfifficulties, heartbreaks, and changes. He got me throough my mom's fight with Cancer, her passing, and my being in Lancaster living in my mom's apartment alone immediately after her passing, until I moved to NY. He got me through the transition and change after I moved to NY, and through my seizures, and own serious health issues since I've been in NY.
As those who have seen my blog posts are aware , Gardner retired in December 2022.
I had been fine since his retirement, as I had gotten used to him not being on for me to watch every night. Until now, when my Aunt passed away, and now with having to plan her funeral
Now., with the strong feelings of sadness I feel over the passing of my Aunt, who as I've posted previously, was like my second mother, this is the first major life event with which I cannot watch Gardner to calm me down and get me through the grief I am feeling.
Of course, I am engaging in other activities. Being online, spending time on the TMF, watching sports on TV, watching streaming shows and movies.
I know that the process of planning and dealing with my Aunt's funeral will be completed early next week.
Until then, I will just have to engage in other activities, to help me through this very difficult time.
