today I had to spend some time working on a paper proposal. I typically don't mind writing papers, but with this one I have to make an exception. the problem is: I have stopped caring.
this class should be the perfect class for me. I am a double major in sociology and political science. this class is called power and society, and focuses on... well... unfortunately I can't answer this question.
why you may ask? or not? because I have the worst professor in the entire university. I have had professors who have cared more about publishing than whether their students learned. i have had professors who couldn't speak english. I have had professors who have been so disorganized that they forgot to teach certain parts of the material. but this guy takes the cake.
and the problem is, he knows what he is talking about. he is a very smart guy, for being as young as he is. unfortunately, he is a terrible public speaker, and he can't get his point across. He tries really hard to get us involved in this class, but he fails miserably. He is very energetic, but he can't stay on track.
I want to do well in this class, but I find myself not caring more than I ever have in my life, and I am pretty careless.
I am even lying to him about his final exam date so that I can go to NEST, he thinks I have to fly to Oregon for my sister's wedding! I don't even feel bad about it.
