It sounds like a title to one of my stories, right? No.. This one is real.
After my dad gave me back the jewelry, I sold it, all except the Rolex, and got a nice amount. The day before that happened, I got a major shock.
I found a velcro case with what I thought was all costume jewlery Gold Colored. I took it into the guy I've been selling things to this week., Some costume.. but also some real.. almost as much as the stuff my dad gave back to me.
I didnt tell him at first, because I was afraid he wouldnt give me back the real jewelry, or the money the cousin gave me for the furniture. Once he did both those things, I cam clean with him yesterday, and he was pissed that I omitted. He told me that its all my money, and that I can tell him anything. As a gift, I'm going to give the cousin who bought my mom's things, the costume jewelry to have. I cant get that much money for it anyway, and its just cluttering up my apt. After hearing the story about the real jewelry I found in there to the tune of $3000, my dad now justifably wants to go through everything with a fine tooth comb, because, if we give it to the cousin, we cant guarantee she will give it back if she finds anything real.
Sigh! My lazy summer has been rather.. profitable. Now, I just have to finish selling my mom;s things, and go on with life,.
