ok, so after 2 fitness bootcamp classes at the gym that, quite literally, kicked my ass, i also played hockey on one of those days as well. i am sore beyond sore!!! but i'm loving every second of it. i can feel my body changing for the better and that makes me feel pretty damn good, considering all that heart issues i have on both sides of my family. my hockey game was cool. met some of the guys on the team, but not everyone. they all seem pretty cool. i didn't score, but then again, i don't skate very well. i gotta get my skating legs back under me! i did have a couple shots on goal, though, so i was happy about that. all in all, it was a blast! and that's what it's meant to be!
in other news, a while back my dad started becoming quite the firearms enthusiast. i was a little surprised when he started asking me about them and even more surprised when he actually bought one. now that he has his own small armory at home (lol!!) and has attended some courses at this place called Front Site (www.frontsite.com) he's all about owning firearms and stuff. he even transfered his membership to me so that he could upgrade his own. what's cool is that they sent me a bunch of certificates that heather and i can use to take select courses free, like forever. and being in the business that we're in, that's pretty cool. and the facility is out here, too, so it's not like we have to drive far.
so i'm thinking of seeing if she wants to do some 2-day courses with me in november, after we're back from vacation. they have some really cool 2 day handgun and shotgun courses, which means, i need to buy a shotgun (huge evil fucking grin complete with equally huge devils horns! "yes you are fucked! shit out of luck!") ok, only one person is going to get that, if they even read this lol but that was for you, mel! i'm hoping that she'll do some with me. we could both use it, i think.
i'd also look forward to taking some courses with my dad, like a practical rifle course. but that means, i have to buy a rifle (repeat the above quotes) which means i get to buy one and trick the fuck out of it! that would be awesome! 🙂 i'd love to see if i could trick mine out better than my dad's lol!!! *sigh* anyway, i wouldn't mind taking some of the courses as they look pretty neat and they offer shitloads of them. i'll let you know how everything goes if we do any. hope everyone is well, safe and happy!!! i miss you guys terribly!!
