Deep blue is going to be on jeopardy to challenge two contestants to see if it can beat them as it beat kasparov at chess.
Is this really proof of artificial intelligence or rather artificial wisdom?
My understanding is that wisdom is based more off of experience while intelligence is smarts.
I once took a computer course where my instructor told us that AI is kinda a myth because the computer was able to be an expert at things like answering questions, however, when confronted with a subjective question the system fails.
A greater strive for AI would be the computer being able to answer an subjective question like:
"What team is your favorite NFL team and why?"
I think the answer would be kinda like one of those bing commercials where it starts spouting off answers based on analyzed words as opposed to intelligence.
Wisdom? Perhaps.
Intelligence? No way.
