So I celebrated Christmas with my paternal side of the family. Everyone was home except for Erin and her husband Aaron and Nate. It was great seeing everyone, especially the Ohioans and the Kentuckians since we see them about twice a year if we're lucky. 😀
I got some decent gifts from my grandma, but she still fails in the book department. I got two books. One looks interesting, but the other is book about Jon and Kate Gosselin. Otherwise the gifts were good, but nothing compares to spending time with the family.
As I said above the only people who couldn't make it home were Erin, Aaron, and Nate. Erin and Aaron are in Ohio and couldn't make it because of work. Nate, however, lives in South Dakota and he couldn't make it home because of, well, one work and two other drama.
Which brings me to the déjà vu title of this blog. I don't think I've told many people the crap my brother Travis went through with his ex-girlfriend, Kayla. She was a manipulative bitch who scammed Travis out of hundreds of dollars as well as trying to trap him. It took him months to realize what everyone was telling him, this girl was not good for him.
Anyway now it's déjà vu again, but this time it's with Nate. Last spring, he met a woman named Mercedes who has four daughters. Needless to say, the family had huge reservations about her. Nate's parents and siblings have met the woman, but the extended family hasn't. However, it seemed since the beginning she had pulled the wool over Nate's head.
She has an attitude problem and has no job. She's caused endless drama. She's even caused a rift between Nate and his parents. In October, Nate's relationship status went from "in a relationship" to "engaged", which shocked us all. Since then it's been up and down, but it appears Nate is slowly realizing how manipulative this gal is. Though it might be too late.
I learned quite a bit from Nate's mom and it appears Mercedes is pregnant, which is one of the reasons as well why Nate couldn't come home for Christmas. A few days ago, she may have miscarried and since she has no insurance and refuses to go to a doctor, Nate won't find out until she does a pregnancy test.
Right now, in a very unChristian way, we've been praying that she did/will miscarry. God forgive us for wishing it, but honestly it would be better if the child is never born. All the child would be is a pawn against my cousin and that's not something a child should be subjected to. 🙁
So here's to praying for the best of whatever will happen.
