I think.. I'm going to a doubleheader at Citi Field tomorrow. by what would be sheer luck.
Baseball fans are aware of the inclement weather in NYC last night. We had heavy storms, and pelting rain.
The Mets and Dbacks are playing a weekend series at Citi Field. Last night's game was being played, but got rained out before the game had completed the official four and a half or five innings for it to be called an official game. So.. they have to go back, and play it over again.
I don't have tickets.. or anyone to go with.. because no one I know wants to go..
Due to last night's rainout.. there will be a doubleheader between the Mets and Dbacks beginning tomorrow at 110.
Even though I'm not a Mets or Dbacks fan, and I already saw the Mets play my Braves for 14 innings on April 20th, I think I'm going to go tomorrow myself. I'll just get there early, and buy whatever tickets I get, If I only stay for one game plus several innings, whatever.
I've been to two doubleheaders in my life, both due to rainouts. In 1986 I saw a Mets- Cubs DH at the old Shea Stadium. We stayed one game plus several innings.
The other one was in 1987 during my only visit to Atlanta to see the Mets and Braves. The first night we got there, they started the game, and it got rained out after about two innings.. so the next night.., we had to go back, and see a twi night doubleheader.
I think I am going to go. Why not? Might as well. The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow, and I'm not doing anything else.
