GAH! Fuck my life! I'm going crazy from all the shit going down at the same time, but at least tonight said shit was going out and get drunk... Might not sound too bad, but blah, it means I'll be fucking hungover tomorrow when I go to visit my cousin, which is gonna suck quite a bit.
So, I'm still in the professor" stage and feel like ranting for a bit, I've been out with my fellow students who go on rants and such just as me so I haven't been allowed enough "room" to vent my opinions. XD They're good people, except for one of them., He's openly both a racist and a homophobe, and I seriously don't get how that's possible, because he's really just nice as hell when he's with us.
I really don't get the concept of racism in the first place, I mean I would think if everyone just fucked everyone till we were the same color there wouldn't be a problem, but I kinda just realizedx that ain't gonna help either... There's still nationalism, regional patriotism, and whatnot. For example, people living in Stockholm are pretty much disliked by a lot of people living elsewhere in Sweden, I guess it's like how some people view the "bleedin' heart liberals" in Chicago over in the states, only the Stockholmers aren't supposed to be liberals, they're supposedly just douchebags. So yeah, racists are gonna be pissed no matter what we do... can we deport them to Antarctica or something plox? Because they're giving me a headache...
I have a hard time figuring out islamophobes too, because you never know if they are just scared shitless by the faith itself, or if they are closet racists and just don't like arabs... One thing about Muslims though that I don't get, I mean I know for a fact that theyäre great people, but what's up with this: Ok, so muslims flee oppressive fundamentalist dictatorships based on Sharia laws... then the refugees come to Sweden and want to implement said Sharia laws here, that they only just fled from...? What the fuck?
We don't make a lick more sense in the west though. I'm not trying to bash religions here but why do you swear on the bible when youäre in court? I mean, what if youäre not a Christian? Then the bible is worthless for you to swear on since it doesn't mean anything to you. Might as well swear on the Silmarillion if you don't believe what the book says anyway... Wouldn't it be better to swear on the flag or something? Or is swearing on the bible more symbolic than anything else? But if it's only symbolic, then why is it such a big crime to lie under oath?
I also don't get how people can drink Smirnoff Ice. It tastes like crap even when youäre already drunk.
Ok, but about the flag. One more thing about that... What's up with the US flag pledge (or pledge of allegiance, or whatever) in schools? I'm just curious that people aren't going batshit crazy over that, since apparently that "Barack Hussein Obama" song in that random school a while back was ruining the fabric of America and indoctrinating children or something. That's such terrible double standards that I don't know where to begin.
Hah, if we had a pledge of allegiance over here, the media would probably compare it to the Horst Wessel Lied or something, which I supose was pretty much the Flag Pledge of nazi Germany to some extent... I mean, if you think about it. (then again, in Sweden it's basically a crime to be a patriot. We just love hating ourselves) I guess that, or everyone woulkd point fingers and blame this political party called the Sweden Democrats. Basically they're a xenophobic, formerly neo-nazi political party that's gaining popularity for some fucked up reason. But hell, it's almost so I wish they make it into the parliament after next election only so the right and the left can compete with each other concerning who interacts and cooperates the least with that shitty excuse of a party. The socialists and the left in general keep saying that they won't cooperate with them even if it means they'll have to let the right win and form a coalition government as a result, and the right says they're going to have even less to do with the Sweden Democrats than the left. Basically politics world-wide has become such a joke these days that I treat it more like a reality show... Hell, we might even have some guys calling themselves "The Pirate Party" in the parliament after the next election, and if possible they are even more incompetent than everyone else. It's basically a one-issue party that people vote for because they don't realize that the Greens have the exact same opinion in said issue AND offers a political platform that isn't just based on one issue with letting the other parties in the parliament call the shots on all the other things that come up.
