I went to the DMV again today, and, in spite of the even greater than usual nightmarish crowd, I finally was able to secure my NY ID. Woo Hoo! I handed the guy every possible piece of info, but.. he said all he needed was my SS Card, and passport. I got my temp ID, and the permanent one is coming in two weeks. My father didn't seem too impressed. All he said was "Good First Step". Yada. Forget him., Hopefully it's an important beginning.
Then, I went to see Maria. We had our usual long talk. She told me that another guy has been quote.. "hounding her" to go out with him, but that she really doesn't want to go out with him, or anyone. She said to me "I don't want someone telling me what to do, but if it was going to be anyone, it would be you". Since she's never lied to me, I believe her. So much for those who think she just said what she did, because she doesn't want to be with me.
Now.. we'll see what comes next.
