Today I saw the Migraine Doctor.
It was , to say the least, an adventure.
This doctor is actually a neurologist, whose specialty is migraines.
I told the Dr about how my neurologist has been able to bring my seizures under control, and how my neurologist has tried many pills, sprays, and such for the migraines, all to no avail.
According to this Dr, I am going to need Botox.
I will make the appt for tomorrow, likely for next week.
I had an adventure of my own today.
Getting to this Dr., I have to take two trains. One subway into the city, and another subway uptown
There are very large escalators, flights of stairs to get from the one subway to the other, and then another large flight of stairs, and a long walk.
While I was on the second train, I began to feel very dizzy.
I was able to make the one block from where the uptown subway let me off, to the Dr's office, okay.
However, when I got into the Dr's office, I felt extremely dizzy, and nearly fell over, to the pont where the Dr's staff was extremely concerned about me.
Between the Botox, and a through eye exam, hopefully the migraines will finally at least be eased.
The migraines specialist made it sound today as if I have to take Botox treatment ongoing, every three months.
My neurologist said he was not sure.
I will just do the first treatment, and see how things go.
Hopefully the Botox will finally take care of my prpbllem.
The specialist said it should ease 75 to 90 percent of the pain.
I hope so. Some occasional pain every once in a while is bearable, but not the extent and frequency of the pain I've been getting.
Now, the journey begins whenever I can get the appointment.
