Talking on the phone has never really been my strong suit. I've always found it awkward; I'd rather talk to the person in person or through email. Unless it's a simple call with a goal in mind, like calling to change or cancel an appointment, talking on the phone feels awkward.
I've never been one to call up a friend on a whim just to talk. I just have a hard time doing it.
The past couple of years I have regularly chatted with Bugman on the phone. We usually try to figure out when would be a good time and it's always nice to chat with him. 
It felt awkward at first but as we continued to regularly call each other, it got easier. Now it's a breeze to call him. Only difficulty is conflicting schedules. Lol. 😛 
About the same time I got his number, I also got Kered's and Pokey's. I called Kered maybe two-three times then I just stopped. As for Pokey, I kept telling myself one of these days I'm going to call him, but I never did.
Last week as Buggy and I tried to figure when would be good for a phone call, I got this urge to give Kered a call. Maybe because of how I've changed in the past few months, it was a feeling letting me know that it's the right time to try to restore communications with him. 😀 So I PMed him to ask and to kind of cement it for me so I don't chicken out. 
Well originally I was gonna give Buggy a call this past Saturday, but circumstances put a kibosh to it. (We did manage to chat on Sunday. 😀) So I thought I'd give Kered a call sooner than I planned on that day, and I am very glad I did. It was so awesome chatting with him that I forgot all about how awkward talking on the phone could be for me.
After talking to him, I decided to finally call Pokey. So, like I did with Kered, I sent a PM to Pokey to get an idea when is usually a good time to call and I promised him I would call today. And I did.
It was really nice chatting with him. I kinda wish I had called him sooner, but maybe it just wasn't the right time for me. But I will be calling these guys more often.
And maybe down the road I'll have more people that I should give a call to, I dunno. We'll just have to see. 😀
