Growing and evolving

I've posted about this, about how hard it is for me to approach people. It's something I've been working on and it's getting better. I'm not as afraid of making a fool of myself with that first PM than I was a few months ago. It's always been that first PM that scares me. Unsure of what to say and afraid to something so incredibly stupid that would have them back away slowly while thinking 'she's an idiot'.

It's amazing how much I've grown outside my shell in the past few months. I've approached and befriended more people than I ever thought I would. It's amazing, and I now have many reasons to go to a gathering someday. Whether it's NEST or any of the other gatherings that are held throughout the year.

I had hoped to have been able to go to NEST 2010, but I haven't been able to save up much money. At least not since I've been with Dan. My money went towards being able to see him and spending time with him than my NEST fund. 😀 Oh well, I'm going to start saving a little money here and there. 😀

I'm feeling more a part of TMF than I have ever felt in the nearly 8 years I've been on here. It is an amazing feeling and in a way, it's given me the confidence to approach people with hopes of making new friends. At least online until I get a chance to meet them in real life.
