I've been dressing women from my age on up since my tweens. I've always loved everything about fashion, even though I definitely don't show it with the attire that I sport. I've always admired and followed the styles that the Harajuku girls' sport. It's everything that fashion isn't, but it still has been popular long after certain phases of fashion have come, gone and come back again.
The reason I dig this fashion style so much is because these girls (and guys!) are dressed so radically so, but it's all a testiment of their personality. Each being individual and different. They stick out like sore thumbs and look pretty damn good doing it. You've got trends from the rag-girl dolls to the Dominatrix getups. And it works, for each and every single one of them.
This is the shit that makes fashion what it should be. Clothing shouldn't be what is "right now", it should be about what makes you feel like the individual that you are. The colors might be either blindingly bright, or dismal and dreary, but it's all about the personality. And that's what it's all about.
