My 27 year old friend Alicia passed away today due to complications with a brain tumor Surgery. She was 27.
She leaves behind her husband and 13 month old daughter.
The doctors gave her the option for surgery instead of radiation on the brain. She had a tough decision to make and she chose surgery.
She told me just Sunday night, "I want to be a mother. I do not want to be sick and possibly loose my mind due to radiation."
I told her she had to do what her heart told her to do. I sent her an e-mail yesterday morning before she left for surgery and told her to be strong and that she had many prayers being said. I told her we would do lunch when she was well.
Her reply, "you are the best friend anyone could have."
That was the last thing I heard from her. I will miss her. May she rest in peace.
