I woke up Christmas morning
The sun showing bright.
I smiled and said good morning
Yet she was not in sight.
I walked into the empty room
And sat aside her bed.
Whispered Merry Christmas
As I laid down my weary head.
She was not there to answer me
Her sweet voice I did not hear.
I sang her favorite Christmas Carol
A song she held so dear.
I hope that she can hear me
From the clouds so high above.
She wished so many times
She could fly just like a dove.
I miss her today yet she is not gone
She is deep within my heart
Merry Christmas my dear mother
Our souls will never part.
The sun showing bright.
I smiled and said good morning
Yet she was not in sight.
I walked into the empty room
And sat aside her bed.
Whispered Merry Christmas
As I laid down my weary head.
She was not there to answer me
Her sweet voice I did not hear.
I sang her favorite Christmas Carol
A song she held so dear.
I hope that she can hear me
From the clouds so high above.
She wished so many times
She could fly just like a dove.
I miss her today yet she is not gone
She is deep within my heart
Merry Christmas my dear mother
Our souls will never part.
