I guess my former home for 13 years, where I have not lived in more than eight years, is trying to maybe drum up tourism. maybe due to the economy.
Yes, I'm still guilty of watching Mr Jim Gardner from WPVI in Philadelphia every night.
I love an out of town baseball team. (The Atlanta Braves) and have since I was 13, good or bad.
I love an out of town newscast, and have since I moved to Lancaster more than 20 years ago. Although when I lived there we used to get WPVI and all almost all other Philadelphia stations on our cable system. Now, I just get Gardner's newscast when I log into the website.
Lately, almost each night when Mr Gardner is on.
There is an advertisement .. /TV ad for people to "Come see Lancaster County"
I do not long for it in any way. I have not been there since I left there for NY on Fathers Day 2012.
It just struck me a bit how lately WPVI keeps showing ads for Lancaster County.
I know it's probably to drum up tourism.
Maybe they feel that people from NY, Philadelphia, and other nearby cities would want to visit as opposed to traveling on a plane due to Covid.
