(A break from the usual funny situations here to speaK on a few things not so silly.... well ok maybe a little silly as real life is so ridiculous that its hard to take it seriously all the time. 😛)
For the most part I was happy with yesterdays election results. I was not expecting an overwhelming throw out of the democrats, so I was pleased they lost the House at least and some seats in the Senate. California though was at first a bit of a dissapointment. I was hoping for some more fiscally responsible people to be elected. Well honestly for some people to be elected that would actually would listen to the people. That did not happen though. Hey they dont call it the Left Coast for no reason at all. 😛 I guess thats why I chose the Mama and the Papas song California Dreamin (with a few spelling changes)
California ranks 49th out of the 50 states in terms of helping small businesses. The regulations and taxes here for trying to start any kind of business are overwhelming. I know I am trying to start one here. We have ban on incadescent light bulbs here so by 2018 you will have to buy CFL more then likely. Ironically most of those bulbs are made in China. Funny how the left accused Fiorinna of out sourcing jobs to China when the left themselves have done a bang up job of it. Some TV sets too will be banned if they are deemed not energy efficient enough. Read you will be paying more for your TVs in California here. 😛 Banning seems to be a national pastime here. Its why I put the K in California, to hint at a Soviet like way of thinking and I bet you thought I just couldnt spell. 😛 It is because of all this that people are leaving the state in droves. High income people, businesses all are flocking to states with lower taxes and friendlier regulations. I was never sure why everyone thinks the wealthy are like trees, unable to move or react in anyway.
The truth is since they have money they can react easily to any situation and that is exactly what they are doing. The math here is easy eventually their wont be many left here to tax. If you just try to raise taxes even higher you will force out even more people. Simple math but apperently to complicated for people like Boxer or Brown.
Upon reflection I am actually ok with the results and I will tell you why. The Republican candidates here suck. They really are almost as left leaning as the democrats. So yea I was never really happy with Arnahld and do blame him in part for the economy. Not because he is a fiscal conservative but because he was pretending to be one. Meg Whitman was almost a clone of Arnahld. She to was not a real conservative in any sense. Heck she even made contributions to Obama's Campaign. So I am glad everything is all democrat so when the Kalifornia economy goes down the tubes enitriely. There will only be Jerry and his friends to blame.
