5:45am - Wake up.
6:15am - Leave for work.
6:30am - Tire blows out about 8 miles from home. Call Lee to seek advice.
6:35am - Call emergency roadside assistance. Gonna take 2-3 hours to get help. WUT?
7:20am - Take Lee's advice and walk 3 miles roundtrip to a 7/11 and pick up some fix-a-flat, after leaving my boss a voicemail.
8:05am - Arrive back at the car with a pumpkin coffee (7/11 brand) and some fix-a-flat.
8:06am - Look in dismay at the gaping hole in the tire that will never, ever, be fixed by fix-a-flat.
8:07am - Get in car. Cry. A lot.
8:10am - Call boss again to give her the ETA, and she tells me to work from home as I'm able. Whew.
8:15am - Turn on car to warm up. Laugh a little at the funny morning talk radio show. Do this off and on for the next couple of hours.
10:05am - NH DOT pulls up in their truck, asking if they can help. No, but where the hell were you two and a half hours ago?!?!
10:10am - Tow truck shows up to change my tire.
10:30am - I arrive home after dropping my car off (only to move it a few hours later to a place with an infinitely better price) to get 4 new tires. I work from home the rest of the day. I pick my car up after a nice dinner with Lee. I'm nervous and anxious and a little wigged out about work tomorrow, because my actual boss came back today from maternity leave.
This means I have to deal with her again. She doesn't like me, and I'm not looking forward to it. I have to go to sleep now, because I have to work earlier hours tomorrow so I can get to a 6pm therapy appointment. I actually am looking forward to that part, and maybe Miss Lee will be able to spend a little bit of time with me afterward. It helps me unwind after something stressful, which it might be.
Good night friends.
