I can't sleep, so thought I'd post this.
I woke around 6 Saturday and turned on the TV in search of a local news broadcast. When I'm visiting another city I always do that. Just one of my quirks. After getting cleaned up a bit I went down to the lobby. The coffee was not ready so I went back to my room and made a pot on the small brewer. Then, back to the lobby. I might note that, as usual, my room was as far away from the elevators as possible.
Walking outside I saw Kered wandering the parking lot. We discussed our plans for the day, then went in for breakfest. The buffet was very nice.
Then it was time for the mandatory meeting for first timers. It was a lot of fun, with much laughter. It would have been over sooner if we had tied Ted to a chair and gagged him, but never mind. 😉
After the meeting we were mingling in the lobby. I was walking by the front desk and heard a young man from Europe asking for directions to a store as he needed some things. He planned on walking. I thought this was not a good idea at all. I told him wait here, I'll find you a ride. Being the fine guy he is, Kered offered to act as taxi driver. We got in his truck, and off to K-Mart.
This is getting long, so I'll pick it up in Part V. Looks like I'm not going to bed anytime soon. 🙂
