Today was the day my Dad and I pulled the photo albums out. I was worried I would loose it again. As it turns out, it was good for both of us.
So many memories are laid neatly within those albums. Good pictures and great times. People long gone enjoying a moment with my Mom.
The world is a crazy place at times. It is nice to know that I can look back and remember all the good things and great experiences that make life worth living.
I know that I was not perfect. In fact, I was not the best of children durring my early 20's. My Mom and I went round and round about my actions. She would tell me that I was a good kid, that I was just being stupid at the time. It hurt me to hear her say that back then, but I know that it was her way to jerk me back to reality.
It was great to be there for her this time. All my life, she was there for me. My Dad and I just sat there and remembered all the good times.
She thanked me many times over the last several weeks for all that I had done for her and my dad. I wish I could tell her now, that I thank her for all she did for me. I am who I am today because of her.
