This past week I've been having severe dizzy spells. I almost fell on Saturday night, and Monday night, in the street.
By Tuesday morning I said "Enough" and called Dr K, my neurologist who gives me the Botox shot.
Yesterday, I took the long subway ride on two subways from Queens to Manhattan.
Dr K'a office was unusually crowded, When I got in to see Dr K, I explained to him about the severe dizzy spells I've been experiencing.
I had received the Botox shot on March 7., so the Botox shot is protecting me against a painful migraine.
Yet, Dr K explained to me that these severe dizzy spells are a "muted migraine" The dizzy spells are migraine symptoms, and they would be the severe, throbbing pain if I did not have the shot in me.
My next shot is the day after Memorial Day. Dr K said that if I get one more dizzy spelll or feeling like I'm going to fall, I am to immediately take the special migraine med he gave me yesterday, to call him immediately, and I will probably need an MRI.
Sigh! Such fun!
Oh, and to boot, at my family's suggestion, and also T's, I have also gotten a cane to help me balance my walking in the street in case I get a dizzy spell.,
Now we will see what happens.
I had wanted to go see Mets V Braves at Citi Field on Sunday April 30 or Monday May 1.
We will see if my body and my migraines all me to do so, with all of the walking involved at a baseball game.
