This tale of woe began last night, but never mind. Last night, right at bed time the ac in my apartment went out. 
After a fitful night of "sleep" I woke up around 4. It was kind of early for me to show up for work but it was cooler outside anyway. It was so hot in here I didn't even shave, just tossed a razor in my bag. Figured I'd take care of that when I got there.
Well, no Bug, wrong. It seems that last night a water main broke, and our water was shut off. Oh happy days! I had another rather urgent matter demanding attention that also requires a water supply. How that problem was resolved I won't get into here.
Then there is the matter of Lamar Street, a major north-south artery I drive numerous times during the week. I love our city street department, bless their little peapickin' hearts! It was down to one lane going north in three different places! During rush hour! Thanks guys, love ya so much!
Just to round out the day, the ac began to fail on the bus as the tempeture climbed into the mid 90's. I tell ya, I just love Mondays..
