Again, an indication of the selfish people I deal with, especially my mother's sisters.
Barney is seeing his mother for Mother's Day.. I wouldnt ask to join him. He didn't come last year on Father's Day with my dad and me, even though that lasted only an hour for lunch, and I spent a lot of the day with Barney anyway, since he lives in my complex. (Barney's dad has passed away also)

Last year I did spend Mother's Day with her and my cousin.. This year she was like "Michael (My cousin)wants to see Spiderman, and I know you wouldn't want to see that. "
No, but.. ah.. why couldn't he see a movie that all of us want to see? I understand she's not so thrilled with it either.
So.. I'll be alone for Mother's Day. Granted.. I know this is what happens when parents pass away. It will be the first time. My plan? To go to the casino. Watching horses, etc, will be helpful in taking my mind off not being able to spend the day with my mom.
I still miss my mom like crazy of course.. but I also know that things have improved for me since last Mother's Day. I have my insurance license, and I'm working in a major company.
My grandmother died the Friday before Mother';s Day, and was buried on Mother';s Day. The difference.. my mom never spent Mother's Day alone. Even when I was in college, the school I went to was close enough that I was able to come home for the weekend on Mother's Day. I'd be studying for finals that weekend, but we always had time to go to lunch or dinner.. or a movie.
I'm sure I will feel sad on Sunday, but I'll make due.
