So this was my third week of taking vocal lessons and it's been unreal. It's been a trip for sure, it's been a lot. I't 's been BEYOND great to have someone there to answer questions and give some input. It's worth it's weight in gold really.
I've learned so much in just a few weeks and that will only improve. It's soooo easy when you have someone there to answer your questions and show you the way. At that point it's all on you to get it done. It's how much do you want it.
Naturally I have a higher voice but I spent the last couple years tryin' to finesse this thing and it paid off. I wanted a deeper tone and worked at it and it came to be. Today my instructor when going over some things told me I'm in the octacave of B? I think that's what she meant, I'm still learning the more technical aspects of it. She hit that note on the piano and was thinkin' .....''Oh hell yeah''....that's just what I was workin' for. It sounded sooooo low and dark and all I could think was, ''that is perfect.''
To be able to develop that tone from a naturally higher pitch that was, it felt pretty good. Today when workin' on a song that I've been practicin' she said that I might not be able to ever hit this range and it made me think. There's so much more but I can't get into it. She'll be surprised. This is going to be fun. This is going to be a trip.
...Man this thing is fast....
Monday I have my first guitar lesson scheduled. Talk about another trip. Just sooo many questions I won't even get into it. This'll be fun. And this'll end someday, so enjoy the ride.
