I've just started evening shift at work, which means I'm up at around 10am, leave for work at 12:30, done around 10:30pm, visiting Maggie ASAP afterwards and in bed around 2am. As such, time to sit and write the traditional post-gathering masterpiece and why each individual person was truly epic has been shat upon like an Uwe Boll film rendition over some of the greatest video game masterworks of our time.
So I'll try to do the condensed version.
NEST 2011 was the best in recent memory. The hotel didn't screw up with it's end of the bargain for the most part and people were generally mellow, friendly and drama-free. The usual troublemakers were the usual troublemakers and the creepers were the usual creepers, but this year, they came with big, huge neon glowing warning signs that said "avoid at all costs". Again, the best in recent memory.
Speaking of memories, some of mine:
-The fucking border and the clusterfuck the week before the road trip.
-arriving to Kwildoctor and Lite at 4am
-Going for Chinese with IFD and New Kid
-Getting to be a real ninja.
-Seeing downtown Philly with the gals.
-Everything to do with Whorey Botter.
-Big laughs at orientation.
-One epic game of full-contact BINGO.
-Pimping a FetLife profile with a photoshoot.
-Quality time with people I'd hardly gotten to talk to before, despite knowing them for years.
-Seeing The Moon crush a member of Team Canada
-Nifty 50's
