I can't believe I actually sat there and read through all 50million-gazillion-bazillion threads about Shemp Day. Fuuuuck.
This is basically what it's like:
Anti-Shemp Person - Omg! Cliques! Shemp! Chaos! I feel so left out, and I have like 30 posts. Wahhh.
Pro-Shemp Person - Omg! Get over it! It's a harmless prank. And don't tell ME it's not funny ... IT'S HILARIOUS! YayYyyYy Shemp ... BoOoOoo to anyone who doesn't agree.
I can honestly see both sides to why the prank is dumb and why the prank is funny. I wasn't here last year for the really chaotic one ... but I heard all about it. Know how? I asked. Know why I asked? Because there were threads warning about Shemp Day.
Gotta admit though, totally entertaining! Can't wait for next year!

ANYWAYS.
The other night I was at this park for The 4th of July, oh no excuse me, Independence Day, and while my friends were playing football I was just standing there in the rain, by myself, watching them play.
These 2 twin girls come up to me and ask if I want to take a survey about the 10 Commandments. So you know ... why the hell not? They were totally nice ... but I was wondering why they were spending their 4th of July seeking out people to take a survey for their church.
But yeah ... they went through the 10 Commandments list and asked me which ones I had broken. I broken 4 out of 10 [Using the Lord's name in vain, disobeying parents, lying, and stealing--whoops?] I didn't think I did that bad .. 4 out of 10 heck yes that's less then half! So then then ask me, "Do you think if you were to die right now and go to Heaven and stand before God having broken 4 of the 10 Commandments that you would be innocent or guilty?" I told them I thought I would be innocent because the 4 I had broken weren't that bad and it wasn't like I murdered anyone.
Turns out I would be guilty because I should strive for perfection in the Lord's eyes... and therefore I am going to Hell. What the FUCK? I'm all for people believing what they want, totally cool with me, but to tell me that I would be going to Hell because of THAT shit? Come onnnnn. That's just plain insanity in my opinion.
Ah ... anyways ... I got $2million fake dollar bills for taking the survey .. and I'm going to Hell. Goddamnit!
