Today was a very difficult day for me.
Of course, those who have read my signature, know that my beloved mother passed away more than 11 years ago. This was my 12th Mothers Day without her.
This year seemed to hit me a bit more than more recent years, for a few reasons.
One, the passing of my beloved Aunt, who was like my second mother, in late January 2023.
Second, the excruciating pain I have had, which caused me to have to push up my Botox shot two weeks, from May 30, to this upcoming Tuesday.
I talked with family both on the computer and on the phone, as well as a close friend,.
I had a good breakfast and lunch.
I looked at a few pictures of my mom, and cried a bit.,
Now, thankfully, Mothers Day is almost over.
I hope that the forum members who are lucky enough to have their mothers still with them, had a wonderful Mothers Day.
One more full day until my Botox shot, at "High Noon" Eastern on Tuesday, which has just been confirmed by the Doctors office.
I was forced to take my pain medication due to the sharp pain this past week, that caused me to have to push up the shot.
I'm going to contact my regular neurologist tomorrow, to see if he has any samples of the only medication that seems to work for the pain. If he does, I will take a short subway or Uber ride to his office to pick it up,
If not, I will survive, take a deep breath, say "Thank God only one more full day until the shot"
Then I look forward to noon Eastern on Tuesday, at which time I will receive the shot, that will hopefully at least control the pain.
