After having two back procedures the last two weeks, my Dad had something called "Reverse Replacement Shoulder Surgery" yesterday.
My uncle and me went to the hospital, but we could not sit together. They put my uncle on one floor, and me on another, except that we went out to lunch together.
Finally, after sitting there for about 7 hours, we were allowed to see him, but separately. I only went in for one minute. My Dad looked completely exhausted He told me that most importantly, the procedure was successful Then this morning he called and said he was feeling much better, with no pain. For a man that has had six surgeries since the summer of 2020, it's about time!
I've felt completely out of it since yesterday. I feel tired, and groggy.,
I got a lot of sleep last night, for me.
"T " called last night. Right now T is very sick with a disease. I could feel more sorry for him, if he did not say the following. The disease is not cancer, or life threatening, at least not now.
"And now you can get back to work" like Boss Slate of the Flintstones.
Seriously, Fuck T
The most important thing is that knock on wood, my Dad seems okay after years of pain.
I'm just going to take a deep breath today, have one day of calm, and then get back to doing what I have to.
Thank You, Greater Force for pulling my 81 year old father through these ordeals
God Willing, may be be with me for years to come.
