It's interesting to watch just how we've been conditioned to view political matters in a standard left/right liberal/conservative scale. People from one side will demean another or question their motives, or if not, you may at least identify more with one than another -- I know I do -- but what I see as the overwhelming takeaway from the Occupy Wall Street protests isn't its partisan leanings, but rather the fact that this is the second substantial "angry American" movement in just a handful of years. We're fast approaching the point (if we're not there already) where we're only one more Big Bank mishap from molotov cocktails. I'd be tempted to cite the reputed "Chinese Curse" ("May you live in interesting times"), but when it comes to Chinese curses, we already have Walmart.
