In a few short hours, it will be exactly one year since one of the best days of my life, the day I passed the NY State Insurance Exam.
A few weeks after that, I signed an employment contract at Aflac, and.. thought that such would be the place I worked at long term.
How wrong I was.
Now, one year later, I've been out of Aflac for almost two months, and,, engaged in one of the worst periods of my life, searching for a position, and trying to land on my feet.
I think, this well might be the worst period of my life, except for the four months between the time that my beloved mother was told she had a fatal brain tumor, and the time I left Lancaster.
The time that my parents divorced was terrible, but.. at least during that period, I was distracted with my college work, and doing very well at college.
How things have changed for the worst in a year's time.
I'm happy to see 2014 end. It has been a very frustrating year.
I'm hopeful that with the dawn of a new year in less than 48 hours, and my continued diligent effort, positive results with finding employment will come to me soon.
