Recently a woman going by the handle TickleMonster29 on FetLife.com introduced herself to the site with a fairly simple bio, identifying herself as an experienced tickler from Washington D.C. and asking if any men in the area were interested in having their feet feathered.
We traded a few private messages through FetLife and have been doing a dance attempting to set up a chat. She asked if I had GoogleChat or AIM.
As of today, the answer is yes. Set up an AIM account easily enough with the customary JoePTickle handle.
I got online around 10 p.m. and appeared to just miss her (status: away).
Around 11:15 I caught an indicator light out of the corner of my eye. She'd send an IM at 11:11. I sent her a reply. Sent another at 11:21. No reply. At 11:35, AIM indicated that she'd exited AIM.
Hmmm.
While I don't get on TMF every day, I am highly active on FetLife and my e-mail account of [email protected]. My experience in my vanilla and tickling lives is that most people are pretty sporadic at best when it comes to e-conversation. And also, disinterested in more than a paragraph or so.
There are exceptions. I have a friend who's extremely responsive to e-mail and puts some color in every one. A little humor, a little reflection, some how-ya-doing... the things that prove a genuine interest as well as an active mind. Also, she's got ticklish size 8 feet. She also has a self-proclaimed foot fetish.
If... only... she... liked... tickling. Oh, the conversations we could have. But she's actually mortified by her fetish, and averse to being tickled.
We're in a country of 100+ million adults. Maybe 50+ million are women. Maybe 50,000 would enjoy tickling nearly as much as me? How many of those are actively seeking male friendships online, and fall into my demographic? My geographic?
The only way to find out, is to write... and write... and believe.
