Why didn't I think of it before?
I was hanging out with Clare last night and after mixing diet 7Up and Arbor Mist Strawberry wine we decided we should join the Peace Corps! And why the hell not?!
I'm not ready to go back to college.
I wasn't happy there. I don't know what I want to do with my life right now. I need to get away. So why not go somewhere in the world and help people who need it?
I talked to my mom about it and she actually thinks it's a good idea. It IS a good idea. So tomorrow Clare and I are driving up to Ohio University for a meeting that tells all about the Peace Corps and you can meet with a recruiter there too. I promised my mom I wouldn't sign up for anything, just get the information. I just can't believe I didn't think about this before.
It sounds so awesome!
They pay for everything ... and after your volunteering is done they give you $6,000 to do whatever you want with! I could pay back my student loans ... or go to England! haha
