I just had a rather.. animated visit with my Dr today.
I had just been to see him 3 months ago, but he was refusing to give me or refill my BP meds, and told me I had to come in.
My BP was through the roof.
First reading 164 over 93, 2nd reading 151 over 87,
The Dr was clearly concerned, and very upset.
I told the Dr how sick my Dad had been with his infection this summer.
The Dr said.
"Mitch, you freak out about things you cant control. You cant control if your 81 year old father is sick with a three month infection, you can only love and support him during his illness"
I was told that I must come in every three months, and that this is his policy, whether I like it or not.
I know that the Dr is looking out for my best interests.
]
I have to listen to him.
I also found out that he has an allergist in his practice , and while he said that the migraine med my neurologist put me on is a good med, I am going to need to go for allergy testing soon.
I think the Dr was trying to scare me when he said.
"Mitch, with these readings, you are at risk of putting yourself in an early grave. "
Not if I can help it.
I got my BP lower other times, I can do it again, and keep it lower.
I took a nice long walk home from the other side of town. I know such was healthy.
So thats it.
I got home in the middle of 6 pm Gardner. I will be watching him to calm down at 11.
Point understood.
I will be going for allergy testing, full physical, bloodwork, etc.
The thing is, with as sick as my Dad was, even though he seems better God willing, and with all the falls, migraines, and red, I Thank God have not had a seizure.
