Not liking what is happening to the healthcare system in the US. It's not from the perspective of Obamacare, rather quality issues.
A disturbing amount of quality issues seem to be popping up though out the states. The dentist who may have infected patients with Hep C or HIV, the tainted steroids that had been linked to Meningitis, and countless recalls for consumable products linked to E. Coli and Salmonella come to mind.
The fact that these problems are arising exposes weaknesses in the security nets put into place to prevent this stuff.
If negligence has become a new job requirement, I think pretty much anyone could be employed with the FDA or Dept of Public Health of (state here). Can't put the blame on the underemployed, overworked little guys though

A possible solution for the problem could be self-regulation.
Perhaps it's just a media hype, but it's been a while since a problem on a massive scale has been reported from self-regulated bodies. One thing to watch out for would be the corruption associated with such power.
