Okay, I think I understand the situation a lot better now. Property management hasn't arrived yet to assess things, but from what I can see, they won't be replacing the carpets for at least two weeks from now...if they replace 'em at all, that is, 'cause they may not have to. So yeah, the carpet thing is still nagging in the back of my head, but at least now I can relax a bit more. I'll keep the blog updated on things as it comes. But God, I hate the first few moments after a stressful event where I whine, moan, and bitch like a little child. 
But the good news is that I was able to see Dustin's musical production of "Jesus Christ: Superstar", after all.
: And it was just BRILLIANT. I love seeing different versions of the same musical because each director has a very different interpretation of the script. The guy who played Judas was soooo intense with his lines that I almost cried for the character. 
And Dustin was definitely the cutest disciple on stage...and the shortest. lol Poor thing is even shorter than I am. But yeah, it was a lot of fun. And it was nearly sold out, too. 😱 We got there before the last tickets were sold.
OH, and whoever gets the musical reference to the title of this post winz a free hug!
Now I'm off to take a little cat nap and then do my reading assignments for homework.
