With the way 2017 has gone.. this probably should not surprise me.
I had a seizure this morning.
It was my first seizure in a long time.
I woke up early this morning.
I felt very dizzy.
I knew I needed to take my meds, and I cannot do so on an empty stomach.
I ate something,, took my meds, including of course, my anti seizure meds.
I was able to get to the bed.
I had a mild seizure, , and then a blackout.
I was finally able to become "stable". (Whatever that is.)
I drifted off to sleep for several hours.
At one point, the Dr had me on both Anti Seizure, and Anti Blackout meds.
He had to take me off the blackout meds, because, either the med itself, or the combination, was making me very sick.
I have to go for an exam on Monday Morning.
Rather.. scary, considering it's my first seizure/blackout in a very long time.
My BP had been extremely high a few weeks ago.
(Higher than it ever was in PA, even though I take BP meds).
I had it taken again on Tuesday, and it was normal.
My Dr told me to contact him immediately if I have another blackout/seizure before Monday.
One of my friends is extremely concerned about the seizure, because, being on anti seizure meds, I should not be having any.
Hopefully, this was one isolated incident.
The exam on Monday will probably tell me what happened.
